The Quality of Life Associations, Inc. (QLA) held its 18th annual conference September 12-13 at Florida’s Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort Hotel. Thirty first-timers were among the 127 registered guests, who represented 25 states. A few of the events of this two day program included a tour of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, a challenging keynote address by Debra Crumpton, a record $6,021 auction, the presentation of the Harbinger award to Deborah Garrett, a question and answer session by BCIR surgeons, Dr. Schiller, Dr. James Pollack and Dr. Ronald Gaskin, and to conclude the conference, an indoor “Beach Blast.”
